The most exciting part of owning a Prince of Orange Philodendron is watching the leaves change colour as they grow! New leaves emerge bright orange color, transitioning through shades of copper and yellow before settling into a neon green. String of Pearls. An absolute stunner and collectible!

Despite how these are shown in pop culture and traditional garden centres, String of Pearls (and their various cousins Beads, Dolphins etc) are crawlers - drape them on top of the soil and expand your pot width as they grow, as opposed to letting them drape too long down the sides.

The Snake Plant, also known as the "mother-in-law's tongue", is one of the hardiest plants around.  It originates from West and Central Africa.  You can find them in dry, rocky, desert like areas.  Some people love them because they symbolize resilience and good luck. Snake Plants reduce allergens in the environment by releasing oxygen into the air, making them an air-purifying plant.

A curious palm sprouting straight from the coconut!  This palm, while kept indoors, will not grow into a tall tree. Their growth depends on the size of their pot. This Cactus is native to South Western United States and Mexico. They love their hillsides and deserts.  Needless to say, this plant loves sunlight and dry conditions.  If in the right conditions, this prickly plant can produce beautiful flowers!

The name comes from the Ancient Greek (echinos), meaning "sea urchin", and the Latin meaning "candle".
