Meet the Speaker

Carly McDougall

Carly McDougall is the owner of Bounty from the Boonies, a plant, workshop and food store located in historic downtown Uxbridge. A lifelong grower of food, native plants + pollinator habitats, her suburban homestead gardens in Uxbridge are a showcase of biodiversity, incorporating upcycled + repurposed materials + whimsical design. After a catastrophic mental health breakdown in 2014, Carly left her journalism career to focus on recovery, and credits plants with helping to save her life. In addition to her store, she also shares her knowledge as a speaker at a variety of events.
