Low Light Plants

The Snake Plant, also known as the "mother-in-law's tongue", is one of the hardiest plants around.  It originates from West and Central Africa.  You can find them in dry, rocky, desert like areas.  Some people love them because they symbolize resilience and good luck. Snake Plants reduce allergens in the environment by releasing oxygen into the air, making them an air-purifying plant.

It's the Shrimp Plant!  This quirky plant has beautifully interesting flowers that resemble shrimps!  Native to Mexico, it is a tropical evergreen shrub that has made an interesting house plant.  With its constant flowering, you can enjoy the flowers all year round.

The Marble Pothos is known for its striking green and white variegation.  Marble Pothos are great for hanging baskets and it is a remarkable trailing plant.  This plant is native to French Polynesia.

It is known for its resilience and low-maintenance nature.  It's also a surprisingly effective air purifier and can survive long periods without water due to its water-storing rhizomes! It is a great addition to you decor because you can pretty much put it anywhere!  Near the window or in a corner away from the window, this plant survives!

This is a shop favourite!

A species of small palm tree native to the rainforests in Southern Mexico and Guatemala.  Being such a small compact size, The Parlour Palm is one of the most popularly sold houseplant palms in the world.  They are also known for the air-purifying qualities. Specifically they are effective at removing formaldehyde and xylene from the air.

Adding this plant to your collection is a must.  It does well in low light so it's great for that corner you're not too sure what to do with.

The Neon Pothos is one of the most distinct varieties of this Pothos family.  These heart shaped leaves are golden yellow or bright green.  When new growth appears, the colour is more vibrant and brighter than the older leaves. Neon Pothos are great for hanging baskets and it is a remarkable trailing plant.  This plant is native to French Polynesia.

Growth: When mature, the leaves can grow to 3 feet long.  The vine itself can grow very long if in the right conditions.  If it starts to look "leggy", make sure it's in a bright spot and trim the vine to encourage more growth.

This rare, hard to find snake plant variety is native to the African Congo and has lovely rounded leaves with variegated leaves and white edges.  This plant is an excellent air purifier. It removes toxins such as formaldehyde, benzene, and trichloroethylene from the air. This variety is a little more unique than the regular Snake Plant.  With it's slow growth and unique paddle like leaves, the Whale Fin Snake Plant is a much sought after plant.

Light: Low light but will thrive in bright indirect light. No direct sun.

Growth: Can grow to 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide

Water: Allow to completely dry out before watering deeply.  Overwatering will kill this plant.
