Jaime Brown

Jaime Brown (she/her) is singer-songwriter who was raised in Uxbridge, Ontario by a family of country singers. Hellbent on rebellion, she’s lent her powerful voice to an eclectic mix of rock, soul, shoegaze/dreampop, and funk bands. Her solo music leans toward raw, rootsy folk, mixing grit and grace with lyrics that tell the story of her experiences with grief and the emotional waves of life. She draws influence from Americana queens and wailers like Gillian Welch, Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief), and Cary Ann Hearst (Shovels & Rope).

You can check her out on the recent EP, Post Fear, by Green Palm Radiation, a musical project led by friend and collaborator, Jay Newberry. You can also find her on Jeff & The Falcons self-titled album (singing harmony as one of the aforementioned falcons – caw-caaaw!).
