Welcome to Boonies Unplugged: An intimate gathering of acoustic music + storytelling

This evening grew from deep community conversations in our shop and gardens around the healing power of creativity, art and plant therapy.

Boonies Unplugged gives space for artists to showcase their craft and engage with their audience on a deeply personal level. Performers will share their stories, origins of songs, even answer questions in a conversation-style concert that's a counterpoint to traditional loud and overwhelming venues.

Our stunning plant and pollinator mural by local artist Sjeli Pearse creates the perfect natural stage for performers from Uxbridge and beyond.

All sales go directly to our artists, with $5 from each ticket donated to the Beez Kneez Therapeutic Working Garden at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in Whitby where shop owner Carly McDougall has received treatment.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Bounty from the Boonies was born and continues to labour on the traditional territories of the Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe peoples. This area is covered by the Williams Treaty, and we strive to reclaim the land with native plants, pollinator habitats and growing food. We stand in solidarity with Land Back and support Indigenous resurgence.
