The Philodendron "Painted Lady" Is a cultivated hybrid, not a naturally occurring plant.  The parent plants of this hybrid is native to tropical regions of South America.  The Painted Lady is a great house plant for beginners. The biggest trick is ensuring its gorgeous variegation stays vibrant and bright by giving it enough light and being cautious not to overwater.
