As this plant grows on the damp floors of the Brazilian jungles, it requires humidity and low light. The foliage is striking with deep green markings on lighter green with red undersides. Leaves fold inwards at nighttime, giving it the common name of Prayer plant. Sometime this variety is also call Fishbone Prayer plant as the markings on the leaves resemble fish bones.

Watering: Water once the top 1/2 inch feels dry. Soak well and let it drain completely. Using filtered water is best as the chlorine and fluoride in most tap water can cause leaf browning. In general you want to keep it evenly moist at all times.

The Goldfish plant is a quirky, fun and interesting little plant. Yes, it looks like goldfish with its orange flowers in the shape of a fish! This variety offers even more excitement with it's bright gold coloured leaves that have a splash of green in the centre! The vines are great for hanging baskets. Pruning after flowering and the occasional cleaning of the leaves will help this plant flourish!
