This is a shop favourite!

A species of small palm tree native to the rainforests in Southern Mexico and Guatemala.  Being such a small compact size, The Parlour Palm is one of the most popularly sold houseplant palms in the world.  They are also known for the air-purifying qualities. Specifically they are effective at removing formaldehyde and xylene from the air.

Adding this plant to your collection is a must.  It does well in low light so it's great for that corner you're not too sure what to do with.

The Snake Plant, also known as the "mother-in-law's tongue", is one of the hardiest plants around.  It originates from West and Central Africa.  You can find them in dry, rocky, desert like areas.  Some people love them because they symbolize resilience and good luck. Snake Plants reduce allergens in the environment by releasing oxygen into the air, making them an air-purifying plant.

This fun succulent variety is distinctive for its banana shaped leaves! Originating from rocky regions of South Africa.  Being from a dry area, they do not require a lot of watering.  Just like succulents, these guys can last through a drought. String of Bananas is a perfect plant for a hanging basket with its long trailing vines!

A curious palm sprouting straight from the coconut!  This palm, while kept indoors, will not grow into a tall tree. Their growth depends on the size of their pot. Coconut palms that are grown indoors are also not likely not reach a size that allows it to bear fruit.  As your palm grows, be sure to up the pot size to give the root system lots of room.

Light: Full sun for as many hours as possible.  In the winter months, consider using a grow light to compensate for the shorter days.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently hydrated but not soggy.  Fertilize regularly if possible.

A fun variety of Begonia with exciting spotted leaves! This type of begonia is one of the easiest begonias to grow. It originates from the rain forests of Brazil.  With their spotted leaves in the shape of an angel wing, this is a stand out plant that will get your guests talking.  When in a place where it thrives, this plant produces beautiful flowers.
